Endearment

In the grander scheme

It seems so very light

A friendly sort of greeting

Or a way to say goodnight

Yet upon it legends have been built

And evil curses broken

A closeness that fills in the words

Our mouths have never spoken

It can fill you so complete

While shedding not a thread

It can set a’spinnin

The most level of all heads

So wield your kiss with caution

Tread lightly with your lips

For it can bring a consequence

For which we’re unequipped
